About Me
Dr. Lauren Prictor (ABN: 64 422 177 226) is a General Practitioner and Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician. She specialises in Lifestyle Medicine, a field that emphasises self-care and evidence-based behavioural interventions to prevent, treat, and manage chronic diseases. Lauren earned her medical degree from James Cook University in 2012 and completed her General Practice training in 2018.
Having obtained her international board certification as a Lifestyle Medicine Physician in 2020, she further enhanced her knowledge by completing her Fellowship through the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine and achieving a Master of Lifestyle Medicine from Southern Cross University in 2023. She is also a qualified Psychological Strategies Provider.
Lauren's professional interests also extend to preconception care, pregnancy care, and the well-being of infants and children. She holds accreditation with the Mater Mothers Hospital for shared antenatal care and is actively pursuing a Diploma in Childhood Health to enhance her expertise in this area.
In addition, Lauren recently completed yoga teacher training, aligning her skills in Lifestyle Medicine with her passion for holistic well-being.
Beyond her medical commitments, Lauren finds enjoyment in activities such as running, yoga, reading, meditation, travel, and cherished moments with her Labradoodle companion, Leroy Brown, along with quality time spent with her family and friends.

My Billing Policy:
My fees cover the cost of providing you with a high-quality healthcare service, that includes my services alongside practice nurses and reception staff, within a purpose-built, state-of-the-art medical facility.
Please note that I require full payment at the time of your consultation.
I do not accept cash payments.
For your convenience your claim can be processed through Medicare online and your rebate will be deposited into your nominated bank account within 24/48 hours, provided that you have registered your bank details with Medicare.
I charge 10% less on the GAP fee for Pension and Concession Card Holders and patients under the age of 18 years old.
Bulk billing is only available for children under 2 years of age.
DVA Gold holders will be charged directly to DVA only.
WorkCover:
You will need to pay for your GP visit on the day until your case is accepted or denied by WorkCover. Reimbursement will be provided by WorkCover QLD.
Telehealth Appointments:
As per new Medicare guidelines patients who are not registered for MyMedicare will continue to require a face-to-face visit in the previous 12 months with their GP and/or practice to be eligible for Medicare rebates for telehealth consultations.
Payment Policy for Telehealth Appointments:
For all of my telehealth appointments, I require a credit card pre-authorisation (with your consent). When booking your appointment, a temporary hold for the estimated cost may be placed on your card to secure your booking. This will appear as a pending charge but the amount will not be deducted until your appointment is complete. You may see both the pending and final charges at the same time however you won't be charged twice, the pending charge will disappear once the payment is processed.

If a valid credit card is not pre-authorised at the time of booking, your appointment will not be booked.
Cancellation Policy:
Failure to attend two appointments will incur an automatic “Did not attend fee” for the full cost of the appointment.
