About Me
Dr Sam Manger is a Clinical and Academic GP who has won multiple awards including RACGP QLD GP of the Year and the highest score in the RACGP Fellowship examinations. He is the Academic Lead of the Postgraduate Degrees in Lifestyle Medicine at James Cook University College of Medicine and Dentistry, as well as the Immediate Past-President of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. He is an Ambassador for the Federal Government initiative Equally Well Australia, Advisor to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, industry consultant and host of The GP Show podcast for health professionals.
His special interests include whole of person care that address the determinants of illness and health (lifestyle medicine including nutrition, movement, mind-body approaches, sleep and other), mental health, chronic disease, diabetes, men and women’s health and healthy ageing.
Outside of medicine, he loves living on the land, meditation, breathwork, movement, play and spending time with his tribe.
