About Me
Zak began his career with a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Queensland, working for several years as a registered nurse. During that time, he developed a deep appreciation for the transformative impact of physiotherapy, which led him to complete a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University.
As a physiotherapist in Newstead, Zak's practice combines a strong hands-on approach with individualised exercise prescription and preventative health strategies. He works collaboratively with each client to identify the cause of their concerns, support effective recovery, and help them achieve their personal health and movement goals. He utilises a range of treatment techniques including dry needling, exercise rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy (such as massage and stretching), and joint mobilisation.
While Zak treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions from head to toe, he has a particular interest in neck pain, headaches, and migraine management — supporting patients across Newstead, Fortitude Valley and inner-city Brisbane seeking targeted physiotherapy care.
Outside of work, he enjoys CrossFit, discovering new places with friends, and spending time with his greyhound "Judy".
Zak is a Medibank Members Choice Provider, available Monday to Friday at Next Practice Newstead, located in Fortitude Valley.
GP health care plan:
Physiotherapy (under a GP care plan) receives a rebate of $60.35 off the full price shown. GAP payment is not bulk billed.
WorkCover QLD:
You will need to pay for your physiotherapy consult each visit until your case is accepted or denied by WorkCover QLD. Reimbursement will be provided by WorkCover QLD.
CTP insurance:
Initial consult cost paid by patient, then subsequent visits billed to insurer when approved.
Department of Veteran Affairs:
Eligible consults are billed directly to DVA.
