Meet Our Cosmetic Medicine Practitioners

Dr Daryna Rudolph completed formal cosmetic training at Alkira, bringing clinical skill and a medically grounded approach to cosmetic consultations. As a GP with formal cosmetic training, Dr Rudolph is positioned to provide assessments that are both aesthetically informed and underpinned by sound medical judgement.

Dr Wesley Chan is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery. He has extensive experience working with patients of diverse ethnicities and backgrounds. Dr Chan consults in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Cosmetic Medicine Consultations

A cosmetic medicine consultation involves a thorough, personalised discussion of your aesthetic concerns, treatment options, realistic expectations, and suitability for cosmetic procedures. Every consultation begins with a comprehensive assessment of your facial anatomy, skin, and medical history to ensure any recommendation is clinically appropriate and aligned with your individual goals.

Our practitioners will provide honest, considered guidance about what cosmetic treatments can and cannot achieve for you specifically, and will not proceed with any procedure they don't believe is clinically and aesthetically appropriate for your circumstances.

Why Choose a Medically Trained GP for Cosmetic Consultations?

Choosing a medically trained and registered practitioner is one of the most important decisions you can make when considering cosmetic care. As registered medical practitioners, both Dr Rudolph and Dr Chan are trained to assess your full health picture, identify contraindications, and manage any adverse events should they arise.

Cosmetic consultations within a GP clinic also benefit from the governance structures and professional standards that apply to all medical practice in Australia, including AHPRA registration and professional indemnity requirements.

Who Is a Cosmetic Medicine Consultation Suitable For?

Cosmetic medicine consultations at Next Practice Newstead are suitable for adults who prefer to receive cosmetic advice from a medically qualified practitioner in a clinical setting, and anyone seeking an honest, thorough assessment of their aesthetic concerns before committing to any treatment.
