Zak Storey is our resident physiotherapist at Next Practice Newstead, bringing expertise and a patient-centred approach to the assessment and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal and movement conditions. Zak takes the time to understand each patient's unique presentation, lifestyle, and goals, designing treatment plans that are practical, effective, and focused on achieving lasting results.
Zak draws on a broad range of evidence-based treatment techniques to support patient recovery and rehabilitation, including:
Dry needling, a targeted technique using fine needles to release muscular tension, reduce pain, and improve movement in affected areas, particularly effective for chronic muscle tightness and trigger point management.
Exercise rehabilitation, individualised exercise programs designed to restore strength, stability, flexibility, and function, supporting recovery from injury and helping patients return to the activities they enjoy.
Soft tissue techniques, hands-on manual therapy applied to muscles, tendons, and connective tissue to reduce pain, improve circulation, and restore normal tissue function.
Joint mobilisations, skilled, controlled movements applied to joints to improve range of motion, reduce stiffness, and restore normal joint mechanics.
