When to Come to Us vs. When to Go to Hospital

Our treatment room is designed to manage a wide range of minor acute presentations and planned procedures safely within a general practice setting. However, it is important to note that for serious or life-threatening emergencies, including chest pain, difficulty breathing, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding, or major trauma, you should call 000 or proceed directly to your nearest hospital emergency department.

If you are unsure whether your condition is suitable for management at our clinic, please call us and our team will advise you appropriately.

What to Expect at a small procedure Appointment

Before proceeding with any procedure, your GP will conduct a thorough assessment of your condition, explain what the procedure involves, discuss any risks or considerations, and obtain your informed consent. Depending on the nature of the procedure, local anaesthetic may be used to ensure your comfort throughout.

Following your procedure, your GP or nurse will provide you with clear aftercare instructions and advise you on what to expect during recovery, any signs of concern to watch for, and when to return for a follow-up or dressing change if required.
